That Fantastic Man of Mine

Monday and Tuesday of this week (as far as work goes) have been pretty awful.  There are 2 other people at work that do the same thing I do, and they were both out of the office.  So I've basically been chained to my desk because there was constantly something that needed to be done and I was the only one that could do it.  I may or may not have had a meltdown after work those 2 days....
Anyway, today has been much better.  One of my coworkers is back (yeah Lindsay... so glad you're feeling better!)  And also, my wonderful husband sent me these.....

These are the same flowers I carried in my bouquet at our wedding.  And also the same flowers he sent to my hotel in San Fransisco in March of 2009, right after we'd started dating.

The House.... finally

T and I moved into our "new" house on June 11 (almost 2 months ago), I'm not sure why it's taken me so long to post pictures.  But we officially started working on the living room this past weekend.  So I thought it might be a good idea to show pictures of how the house look when we first moved in.

This is the master bedroom.  We probably wont make any changes to this room for a while. 

This is one of the extra bedrooms.  We've been referring to it as the "drum" room.  T and I have been together for 2 and a half years, and the first time I heard him play the drums was the day we moved into the house.... his drums had been in storage in his garage until then. 

The pink curtains (as well as all the window treatments in the house) were left by the previous owners,  I think they go really well with T's drums!

Here is the hall bathroom.  I took this picture while I was in the process of cleaning/lining drawers, so it's a little messy.  But it's a really nice bathroom.  The previous owners did a great job with it.

This is the deck.  It's just off the kitchen.  I was taking the picture standing on the patio (which is just off of the "game" room).  There is a fan under that roofed area.

This is the "game" room... because this is where the Xbox and Wii live.  There is a sliding glass door just to the left which leads out to the patio.

These are the stairs that lead from the kitchen to the game room.

This is the kitchen (the day before we officially moved).  That door leads out to the deck.

These are the stairs that lead from the living room to the bedrooms.

Here's the living room.  The previous owners left the tv, which we got to enjoy for about 4 weeks, before it went out!  Oh well... :)

This is the other end of the game room, with the stairs leading up to the kitchen.

So... that wasn't exactly and official tour.  And I the pictures are obviously in no particular order.  But it's late, and for some reason I really wanted to get the pictures up tonight.  I hope y'all liked it!  I'll be back soon with a few things I've found through my new addictions.... I was misled!!! These absolutely were NOT seedless.  Oh the lies! 

The Name

Not long after T and I started dating, we stumbled across an episode of Cake Boss.  And at one point during the episode, Buddy walks into the kitchen and apparently he isn't happy with the speed at which things were getting done.  So he asks one of the guys who is decorating cupcakes, "What are ya doing?!?!?" and the guys response was "I'm just doin' what I'm doin'".

For some reason we really liked that and started using it (with occasional variations of course). 

 "Where are you going?"
 "I'm just going where I'm going"
 "What are you watching?"
 "I'm just watchin' what I'm watchin'"

You get the idea. 

So, I figured it would be a fitting blog title since this  whole space with basically be stories of us.... "Just doing what we're doing"

New email address... new blog

I'm sure there's a way to do it, but I couldn't figure out how to link my new email address with my old blog.  So I just decided to create a new one!
